Need suggestions for kitchen backsplash. Our cabinets are black and the granite countertops have a mix of black, browns and gold.See attached picture.

you could do a combo of glass and stone .Best thing is take samples to the store of what you have now and the colors in the kitchen and have a budget in mind .I love that paint color by the way .If you chose these you can choose the backsplash well also .very nice job .

Since the granite is busy, keep the splash simple so as not to compete, but keep the coloration of countertop in mind. Also, keep contrast to cabinetry in mind. Bring samples home to view under the lighting conditions of your kitchen. If you use four inch squares on the diagonal with a slim horizontal black glass square tiles running thru it, that might be one option. Play with tiles in tile stores but keep things solid.
