I need help! I always imagined when I get my first place it would be so Fab, but I have been on my own for a year & my apartment & decor Ideas are empty!! I began by getting the living room set I wanted but when it was time to make it beautiful with rugs, window treatments, etc I have been at a stand still. I'm single, no kids, and 25 and I want my place to be as Fab as me! Please help pics attached open to change wall painting and color concepts

Can you enlarge the thumbnail pic? It's difficult to see as is. If it's solid and neutral, draw scheme inspiration from the wall art or another print...an area rug perhaps? Are you premited to paint the walls? If so, it will go a long way to help evoke the feel you seek. If not, bring in more pattern/texture/color interest to you space. Don't overlook the power of lighting in your design plan.

Scheme inspiration and even "feel" can come via your wardrobe choices. Black can add drama and depth while white can add crispness and contrast. Metals and other reflective surfaces such as glass, mirror, ceramic can become the room's jewelry.

Browse deco mags for additional inspiration re. textural and pattern mixes to room layouts. Take the decorating slowly and your spaces will evolve into well thought out spaces that reflect your unique personality, passions, travels and lifestyle.
