In a room is it best to choose between having silver or black in it? Like all black frames/lamps or can i mix it? B/c also in my living room I have gone with black frames and some silver and with the new paint if I choose taupe i'd probably want to go with black so it would stand out, but my ceiling fain has silver everything practically. I have a lot of nit picky questions sorry. But i have no one that will help over here.

I think they would mix well.

Have you tried posting your decorating questions on the Gen. Dec. board? Lots of help there. Annie

I say yes. You should mix it up for an interesting room.I have taupe walls light tile flooring.Added a black counter height table & chairs.3-Red glass hanging pendant lights.I have brushed stainless steel accessories.White cabinets in the kitchen with black counters. When I do hang art on the wall I will certainly mix it up with both metal & black frames & art.It keeps the room flowing & not boring to the eye.Move the color around the room.Yours sounds great.Do what you LOVE.Good Luck!!

I think it's just a matter of personal preference.
