we have a renter in there and it is the people who WANT to buy it. The saga continues, no end in sight. We are grateful for the income.

I'm sorry that you're going through this. I'm sure it must be somewhat of a relief to have a renter, but I hope the situation gets resolved soon.

but if it winds up being a long-term renter that takes care of your property, that could be a win-win...

I am happy with the situation. Their rent check will pay our rent or mortgage on the house. No more lawn boy, electric bills, etc. Our realtor is the property manager and they are painting inside. We are 4 hrs away, so a lot of worries are gone. We are fine. Good news for us.

Sounds like a good situation to me. It is nice not having to worry about paying 2 mortgages.

At least you will be getting some cash flow and who knows, they may end up buying it! So despite the fact that it isn't what you originally intended, you worked it out. Hopefully it will ease some stress.

I'm curious...Do you know why they decided to rent instead of buying it?

Glad to hear some of the weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
