A Carlsbad couple who sued their real estate agent, claiming he duped them into overpaying for a $1.2 million home, said they have no regrets about taking the case to court, despite a unanimous jury verdict yesterday that the Realtor had done nothing wrong."

Hooray!! Thank heavens the jury had some sensible people on it. Thought the sellers, esp. the wife, were greedy and not able to accept responsibility for their own decisions.

Agreed.....our society has to regain it's sense of holding people responsible for their own decisions.

I'm not surprised by the outcome at all. Those buyers were idiots.

I'm not a fan of realtors as a rule but I'm really glad they lost. Sheesh, can you imagine what they must have been like as clients?

Anybody know why this realtor can't get his lawyers fees back? I'd certainly consider this a nuisance case, that had no merit from the start.

Also I'd only add that it wasn't the "couple" who wanted to sue. It was the WIFE. The husband was so UNDERwhelming -- and seemingly hen-pecked on the "Today" show, that he couldn't have been more of a wuss (sp?).

He all but said he didn't think she should do it.

((What is it with women who brow beat their men into going along their crazy ideas? Now mind you I've never been marriedSmile I have a co-worker who is the nicest guy, and his wife just dogs him to no end. He's been worn into submission. I feel for him...oh well....)) Sorry I digressSmile

I basically posted the same comment some months back & got jumped all over because I felt that adults, whether informed or not, should take responsibility for their actions. There are a lot of buyers out there that knew they couldn't afford their homes & bought anyways, by any means necessary & are looking for someone or something to blame it on and someone or something to bail them out when life doesn't go according to their plan.
