So, I have been TRYING to get a picture switched out on Realtor.com. There is a picture that I want changed out with a "view" picture out my back lanai. I really think it is important to have in there b/c it is a major selling feature of my home. My realtor was working with the assistant lady (whom I have called as well) and they are trying to get it fixed. The only explination that I keep getting is "We are working with a very archaic system." It is getting REALLY frusterating. I have been asking for WEEKS. Is Realtor.com really that difficult to work with???

I have no problem with Realtor.com, however the picture needs to be switched out on the local MLS and then it loads up from there. The picture you want to switch out needs to be in a form of a CD, then we have a tools section in our MLS for upload of photos . it's a 1 -2 -3 easy thing. If you have your agent send you(email your listing - you will see the same photos on Realtor.com.) However, with Realtor.com the agent pays a premium to show more than 1 photo. 1 photo is gratis.
Although I am not in the market at the moment (one more year till empty nesting!), whenever I go on realtor.com, I pass by the houses that have only one picture.
Sorry, let me clairfy....I have 7 pictures up. But none of them are of the view. Therein lies my issue. I dont understand WHY it is that my Realtor is having such a difficult time replacing one of the pictures with the View shot...
Supply the photo to the Realtor..she or you can have it or the negative put on a CD, and she will delete a photo and add a photo on the MLS board. It will then load up automatically on Realtor.com within a day or two. Give me your MLS no. again and I will pull it to see what photos she has on there.
A photo of the back of the house is the second pic I look for. I care about how the back of the home is laid out as much if not more than the front. I want to know if you're living on a deck, or walking out to the yard, etc... If every realtor put a photo of the back living area I would be so happy. Also, I wish on realtor.com you could search by master on main.
The only explination that I keep getting is "We are working with a very archaic system."
When I get that excuse (from any business), my comment is: "Then hire an older American programmer. There are many unemployed older American IT professionals. We geezers are very good at updating ancient systems. Do you need help?"

Hi. New here. I was just wondering, yall said the agent has to pay more for more pictures on realtor.com. How much do they pay? Do you know? Per picture? Per day? My agent keeps dragging her feet in listing pictures and I think she is reluctant to spend even a dime on my listing. It's so frustrating.
What's happening here is you have agents taking listings and giving them minimum exposure. For example, in my area, S/S and foreclosures are 66% of the market. A traditional resale doesn't stand a chance against them unless they are ready to compete pricewise. Closings are almost 80% foreclosures. It's scary.
So agents will take overpriced and hope to get picked up as buyer agent through them and off they go shopping.
I can't say I blame them. Sales are way down and they have to choose very carefully where they spend their advertising dollars. They also budget their time similarily. Wouldn't you?
In your case, it may be that the agent just running into a brick wall to get them listed. But you may want to have a brurally honest discussion with your agent as well and get them back to working for you.
Peg if your realtor doesn't advertise your property the way you want/need to, then do what Trump does-"You're fired". That is there job. B.s. if they don't have the money to advertise. Maybe they should have thought about that before taking on another listing. I don't know if you can legally break contract due to unexposed advertising or whatnot, but I would be upset. but hey, i am too emotional
No, you're absolutely right. It will be 4 weeks this next week since we listed, and she hasn't even advertized in the local paper! Incredible huh! I am thinking of firing her. And no, our house is not over priced. She just wants a pay check without spending a dime. But, does anyone know what it costs to post pictures at realtor.com? |I really want to know now. thanks.
I think to have more, my realtor said somewhere in the $400 buck range? That was to upgrade and have 10 pics. I think that might be for the year, and not per listing. who knows. I know, as a buyer, i skip the houses that only have one pic. I can't tell anything from just one pic of the place,ya know? When there are thousands of other homes to choose from. just a thought. Good luck, at least run it by her again...tell her to list it on Realtor.com w/ more photos or else.!?!? lol
PAH-one photo is complimentary on Realtor.com but if an agemt wants multiple photos the cost is based on the number of listings he/she has. You can't choose to have multiple photos for just one or some of your listings...it's all or nothing. The more listings you have the more it costs, so there is no pat answer to the cost question...it could be as little as $200 a year to well over a thousand a year.

Oh, I get it now. Well, this is something she didn't tell us. She did tell us she would put more pic's up. I think I will pin her down on this. thanks. Yall have been a lot of help.
My realtor has 16 pictures of my house on Realtor.com
The agent did tell me that sometimes it can take awhile for them to come up on R.com after they are loaded. My listing came up the next day! Now if we could just get someone to come look at it in person!
