A home across from our home sold in one day. The for sale sign went on the house on Friday and Saturday is was already sold. It is a lovely home and doesn't need a thing done to it. I was wishing we could find a way to buy it and rent out ours. That would have been a mistake on our part though since this neighborhood is not friendly. The home sold for asking price which is the highest money amount in the past 3-4 years. That is good for us when we decide to make the move. This home didn't seem to need a thing looking at it on-line but it did not have any back yard at all.

Hi, I was wondering what it is about your neighborhood that isn't friendly? I'm new to FL and I also find folks not friendly; even employees in some stores! Having said that, the neighborhood we are in is tooooooo friendly; people seem to live in the street talking endlessly to all who come by and I can't get away; oh dear!!!!!!!!!! I'm used to country living and no neighbors; this is going to be a hard adjustment for me ....

That is good news for your neighborhood. Not only getting asking price but short days on market.
I helped a buyer who had almost given up her home search buy a house that hit the market on Friday afternoon and we had a signed contract with just a little give on the price by Sunday afternoon. It is a good feeling to swoop in and get just the right house for a buyer.
I'm surprised to hear that people are running into unfriendly people in Florida - it just hasn't been my experience. Everyone in here is incredibly nice - all restaurants, stores, and all my neighbors. My neighbors aren't invasive, though but if you reach out to them, they're wonderful. Maybe Northern Virginia was just cranky all the time, but we're blown away by how nice people have been in Florida.
