Is it just me, or does Hilary NEVER deliver? She overcommits to the homeowners, does a terrible job, and of course, they list! I think they need a new host for this show.

People often do decide to stay but I think more often than not they decide to sell.

Happened to see an article recently and it was almost even over the life of the program (stay v. sell) but stay was actually ahead overall, IIRC.

I don't think it is Hillary. I think it is the limited budget and wants of the homeoweners. Most live in older homes and have been living in questionable construction and appliances for years. They want the asthetics as well as the neccessaries at an unreasonable price.

I am so frustrated with this program; loved it at first. These dingy homeowners make David jump through "hoops" and then choose to stay in their home. Argh!

Love to see so many new posters here on the message boards but think, maybe, this topic might be better explored under another thread - maybe Fan Favorites? - since this is one that relates mostly to real life real estate situations. Might get more responses in the threads relating to HGTV shows. JMHO

I think Hillary does not know how to manage a remodeling on a strict budget. When the home owners ask for this or that, she can NEVER deliver everything, there is ALWAYS something that cannot be done and therefore she doesn't try an alternative approach to the design, if her design doesn't work, then she won't fix it. She is postively annoying and I would fire her if she couldn't deliver!
