It's an interactive map where you type in your address, city, and/or state, then you see a color-coded map of your neighborhood's median income, and the median income of surrounding areas.
I plugged in my street. My census tract is about 14% higher than the highest statewide average income...so we are solidly middle class. No more; no less.
We live in a very rural area. I looked it up, it was right on the mark.
You can get the same information from your County's Property Appraiser's GIS Department house by house, and the Tax Assessor's office, which all this info probably came from.
It's a good app to save time and research.

DebiinFl, I think it is directly from the 2010 U.S. Census ~ you know, the question that asks specifically: "What is the total annual household income for all residents at this address?"
