Best sound absorbing/reducing product for ceilings Sign In/Join

I will be using Quiet Clips and hat channels to suspend my new 5/8" drywall from my ceiling joists. However I further want to use both a thermal and sound absorption material within the eaves of each joist. I was told by a sound isolation company that I should only fill half the depth of each joist.

I would appreciate knowing what products are recommended as effective and practical to buy.

Thank You!
