From Sarah's FB Page: "For those of you living in the US, the SARAH'S HOUSE 4 marathon will be airing earlier than expected! The entire season will now be airing September 1st from 2-4pm and September 8th from 2-5pm. That's less than 2 weeks away! Mark your calendars!"
Happy to help, Mriley. If you are like me, I rarely check HGTV for their programming these days, so I really appreciate notice when something worthwhile will be aired.
Thanks, Gracie for the heads up. I guess there was no room in prime time because they would have to displace reruns of Love It or List It, PB, HH and HHI. Thank heavens for the DVR!

I think management purposely puts true design shows and gardening shows in bad time slots with no PR support because then the shows will have relatively low ratings and management can say..."See...low ratings...nobody wants design or gardening shows."
While I was searching for something on the TV Guide site on my television, I came across a mini-marathon of Sarah's Summer House which was shown 1:00 - 4:00 today. These were reruns, but I had not seen them and taped them all.
This evening I checked into the HGTV Facebook and there they had announced the airing of this mini-marathon. I had not seen anything about on the HGTV channel. According to the Facebook the entry had been made 12 hours ago. That didn't give very much notice to anyone who might want to see the shows.
Under the heading of Comments, there were 183 people who told HGTV how much they enjoyed Sarah Richardson and were anxious to see her new season starting in September. I added my comment, but I was not so nice to HGTV. I told them I found the shows by accident because they certainly had not given any promotion,

Ya know, I probably should've posted something about it. I love Sarah Richardson and really enjoy her shows. I've learned so much from her and Tommy. I have a habit of going through the entire week of HGTV on my DVR to see what's coming up in case I'll miss something and that's when I saw Sarah's Summer House. I actually put a post about it under 'Favorite Shows' in the heading - She's Baaack - DDD Season 2 because I couldn't believe DDD was coming back for a Season 2 but I was so happy that I searched because I never would've known about Sarah's Summer House and my DVR would not have picked it up because the title was different from my series recording. Needless to say I recorded all the episodes, have watched 2 and plan to watch the rest this morning. Learned about white washing (which I'm literally doing to my new dining room ceiling this week - the old one collapsed under an ice dam in the winter - previous owners put a flat roof on an addition in New England...duh), the importance of same windows in an addition and new pine board vs old pine boards. Can't wait to see what I'll learn on the next shows!!

HA! I just did a google and found Sarah's blog and this is what she says:
Aug 22, 2012, 3:02 pm For those of you living in the US, the SARAH'S HOUSE 4 marathon will be airing earlier than expected! The entire season will now be airing September 1st from 2-4pm and September 8th from 2-5pm. That's less than 2 weeks away! Mark your calendars! -------------------------------------------- You'll have another chance to catch it. Thank goodness for the internet, we'd never catch any of the good shows if we relied on HGTV to tell us.

Oops, my bad again. It's Sarah's House that is re-airing, not Sarah's Summer House. If I see it coming up again I'll be sure to post it so you can catch it.

Finally, the return of intelligent design with rich textiles, beautiful wallpaper and well thought out spaces. She is one of HGTV's most versatile designers, and I love the chemistry of Sarah and Tommy. He's the Dr. Watson to her Sherlock. Don't miss the marathon!
Darn! My dvr didn't record any of todays shows. I was so looking forward to seeing them. Does anyone know if the first 4 episodes are going to be shown again?
Sorry you missed today's episodes, topsyturvy. So far I can only find one showing for each of the nine episodes. One-four were aired today; five-nine will be aired next Saturday. We have two DVRs in this house. One of the DVRs did not show today's programs as "new" but the other one did. We have Dish. I guess the programming depends on the version of software in the DVR. Of course, you if you have the choice of "all" episodes that would work, too.

Luckily I checked the listings yesterday and found the Sarah's House episodes. I posted an alert on Favorite Shows, hoping that others would see it.
I wonder why HGTV spends so much time airing Property Brothers, Kitchen Cousins, and Love It List It ads. Almost every comment on the message boards indicate that viewers do not like these shows. I know I don't. The favorite shows listed by the faithful are not mentioned and are moved from regular scheduling, to hit and miss time frames. This message has been edited. Last edited by: cindy8w,
CJO, These shows that are airing on Sept. 1 and Sept. 8 are Sarah's new season. She is working on a newly constructed house and she is working under some restraints as to color and budget, but she can make some minor construction changes. I really enjoyed watching these shows. I hope they show them again for those who missed them the first time around.

The first 4 episodes of the new Sarah's House were great! It is so disappointing that they were strung altogether on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend when few people could enjoy them live. Thank goodness for DVRs. Doesn't HGTV realize by forcing us to DVR the shows we really want to watch that we are able to fast forward through all the commercials? Couldn't they skip just a few reruns of House Hunters to let us see something new and interesting in primetime?
Its certainly frustrating. Not sure either why they only show some of the new shows once and then we get endless repeats of House Hunters and the like. They did the same thing with the couple of new Secrets from a Stylist recently. Shown once and thats it.
