Wasn't sure I was going to like the rough weathered barn siding as cladding for the island. I just can't imagine cleaning it. I must say it did look good however.

I agree about the rough wood on the island. It looks nice but cleaning it would be difficult. Also, we have a dog and his hair would stick to it every time he walked by! Love this show though and wish it was on at a decent time.

Forget about cleaning. Who would even notice dirt or grime on such a mottled and rough surface. Smile

I liked the fact that Sarah did not go overboard with the barn wood. It was especially handsome as the background of the wall niche storage area.
