April 15th, tax day.

Do you have to take the house or can you just get a cash prize?

Total ARV of Grand Prize is $2,089,400.00 if Grand Prize Winner takes title to the HGTV Dream Home or $1,377,000.00 if Grand Prize Winner selects the Cash Option in lieu.

What if I want both the house and the cash option together? Are there any special provisions or considerations for such a simple and reasonable request? Smile

Well...

You could take the house and then convert it into cash.

Or take the cash and convert it into a house.

Will that do?

Bill, just look for that pot of gold at the end of your rainbow. JSB has a good alternative as well.

Awww nursejudy and JSB, I was just hoping HGTV would start a new precedent and most assuredly double their live viewer audience by giving ol' Mr. Bill a humongous jaw dropping prize should I be the lucky one picked. Can you imagine winning the house and enough extra money to pay all the taxes associated with it? Smile

No, not yet. I had a neighbor see me for the first time today. She told me she thought I was out of town.

I can only imagine how the winner reacted. I know I will get to see it.
