Bon jour, danibo! and (here's) a clank of the starbucks' muggery to you.

Yes, the MB roster this year, beginning with last December appears as small as it has been from the beginning of MB Time.
But this time of the year...looking back, the vacancy rate was just like this, wouldn't you say?
For other raisons why we have "missing in action?" MB has become quite "anti-septic" as old contributors have stated that they were curtailed by gumby for this and that. That shot a hole in the side of the boat. And, Blogs certainly gave us a jolt.
In their kindness, HGTV keeps keeping us afloat.
We used to engage in a lot of folderol.
That took lots of coup de foudre,
huge piles of je nais sais quoi,
drivels of twaddle and
more than a dash of amore'. Nicht wahr?!!!
There are numerous discoveries yet to behold. Long live MB.

Considering the size of the cable channel, yes, this is an incredibly "ghost townish" message board. But I also have to say, it's one of the most aggressively moderated boards, too. Their auto-filter is far too aggressive and puts your posts into a "review" state for words that aren't even negative in nature... and once it goes in for review, it never makes it online, and hence, people don't even try many times to reword it so it'll post. It does kind of make you feel like you're in a sanitized Sunday School class sometimes, and you just don't even want to bother.

That being said, it also doesn't help that the link to the boards is in less than 8-point sized text at the very bottom of their site - they're not exactly announcing that it's here, either.

Here I just joined this message board and I feel like I chased everyone away??? and I haven't seen any odd vehicles, balloons, etc around my neck of the woods but I keep hoping. Don't think HGTV dream/green home winner has ever been in MD but maybe I am mistaken. good luck to all and hope the HGTV crew shows up on someone's doorstep soon if they haven't already. Here's to constantly peeking out our windows..LOL

You are mistaken, but so what? The famous Milton was an MD winner.
Welcome. Let the good times roil.

A tip of the TangoW hat to you, nursejudy.
I'm sure there will be good new days; never met a nurse who didn't agree.

Life is wonderful here, too!

I've been volunteering recently. Teaching English to a terrific family. We have had a lot of laughs. And I'm learning about a new country and culture.

I was hired to be nanny...practicing my upcoming first time Grandma skills. Add sewing grandchild's new items.

I'm walking 2 - 3 miles/day with a dear new friend. Getting healthy!

Fishing with my husband....and my latest fishing story brings a LOT of laughter to people. Hub said he hadn't experienced so many disasters in a 30 min. period, as he had with me. He laughed...till he realized I had an anchor in an uncomfortable body part. LOL

Add gardening to the list, do I need to mention how wonderful life is?

Trish and NurseJudy! So glad to see you both. The MB is an afterthought now for HGTV. The blog is their focus. They do update it regularly and have a picture of the Green Home winner and her hubby in Katy, Texas. I don't like having to read through pages of stuff tho, I much prefer the threads in the MB. Onto the Urban Oasis and the Blog Cabin and the island Dream Home in 2013. Love all the home contests!
