Welcome, Jgray,
Have a good time here.
It's kind of pathetic, d u t?, that this national exposure is so poorly presented plan-wise. No nuttings.
We guess at dimensions, i.e a doorway is 3 feet wide, and use that as a ruler.
It's always been that way. Plans are available if you pay for them through the developer's website; or you might inquire of closet offerings by phone or website.
The Master BR has a closet depicted; other BR's and areas are likely to have them, of course.
Hopefully, folks who will tour this home might comment on closets, among other observations.

Merry Christmas.

In looking at the photo tours I don't see closet doors in the upstairs bedrooms or bathrooms. Seems quite odd not to have them. They certainly don't show up on the floorplans and I originally thought they might have left them off those to make the rooms reduce clutter on the thumbnail drawings, but I sure don't see anything that looks like a closet door on the 360 degree pictures of the rooms.

General Disclaimer

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Quote from HGTV:
"The HGTV Dream Home online team is proud to present the virtual home tour of HGTV Dream Home 2013, a Low Country Zen cottage"...with the emphasis on cottage might be the design reason for the lack of closets?
Perhaps an extraordinary excuse/opportunity for the guys to throw their underwear on the floor?!!!

Look at the floorplan, folks. The master has a big walk in closet to the right of the entrance door along the wall shared with the dining room. Both upstairs bedrooms have closets between the hallway doors and the bathroom doors on the side closest to the front of the house.

The absence of closets inside the upper bedrooms is inordinate at the least and something I can't fathom a designer would do for exposure to a national audience in a home at this purchase price.

Call it a suite, if you want. When the hallway door is closed the closet is in the private area, would you feel better if the inner bedroom door was removed?

I can only enter today on Front Door.com - anyone know why? The rules say: Starting December 28, 2012, at 9am ET, you can enter twice online per day — once on FrontDoor.com and once on HGTV.com
