remodeling to fit in two family members and their significant others |

we have a farm house that was built in 1983 we have a large living room large family room small tv/sitting room and a small kitchen upstairs we have 4 bedrooms and a bath oh there is a bath with shower on first floor my daughter and her boy friend are living in the family room my son is now home from the military living in two of the bedrooms we are not rich and need to make space for them all to live also my son is getting married next june and may be living here also HELP my daughter and her boy friend have no privacy and i would love to give it to them my husband and I are using the small tv room for entertaing, eating, excercise and whatever we want to close off the family room with a door but am not sure how or if it will hurt the heating of the first floor any ideas | |||

Your post was very difficult to read since you do not use sentences but, if I understand it correctly, you are asking if installing a door on a room will effect your HVAC? Is that correct?This message has been edited. Last edited by: metwo, | ||||

Am not sure what you are asking. However, if it was my house and my family, I'd assign everyone bedrooms, and let LR, FR, and tv/den all be community spaces. If they all choose to live with you then they are part of a big family and share all the spaces. Only private space would be the bedrooms. And in my family, no boyfriends/girlfriends would be living in my house with my kids. | ||||
