The show was on yesterday, I did see it.

I am looking for the cinderblock planters project from the same show. Will anyone let us know when they post these ideas on the HGTV site?

rzshelly and trish, I know that Casey's husband, Peter, has read this Message Board at times. He posted on it. Maybe he will visit again and tell us where we can find the answers to your questions.

Here are a couple of sets of instructions. More are available, too - see the links/tabs on the left-hand side of the page on the second option.

Concrete Fire Pit, No. 1

Concrete Fire Pit, No. 2

Let us know how it turns out, with some photos if possible. Good Luck!

trish, I found a picture of a cinder block planter in the Facebook. I think it looks a good bit like the one Casey did on Design on a Dime. Here is a link:

I hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks, Marylee. I found it under images, too. It allowed me the opportunity to share the idea with hub who had missed the show. He told me this is MY gardening project. We have so many coming up. I just want the cinderblock walls of our house to look better...and this will do the trick. Of course a few rain barrels for watering is planned, too.

Also keep in mind that concrete should be kept damp while curing, otherwise it can crack. You should mist it periodically to prevent it from curing too quickly.
