Any ideas on hiding an open closet? Sign In/Join
posted
I recently moved into an apartment that has only 1 tiny closet and the person before me made an open closet. I don't really like the idea of my clothes just being out in the open. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to enclose it? Any help would be appreciated!

I also attached a picture of the closet.

Thanks!!

One idea:
If your landlord approves, you may be able to cover the area with a curtain (made of some used king size flat bed sheets even). A custom made sturdy rod can be created from plumbing supplies. Steel or copper pipe measured and (steel threaded all ends). With a 90 degree elbow and short piece for the return to the wall at the right. There are plates that could be screwed to both walls with anchors for the pipes to go into.

A heavy plastic pipe might also work, if you were very gentle with it, not a heavy drape and no pulling, and I would use the ss rolling shower curtain hangers to slide easier on any pipe.

Just now noticed your other post on this subject. Some great ideas over there too.
