Are any of you watching the new episodes of Candice, I think it is Candice Tells All? It doesn't appear that Candice is telling anything. There seems to be more about the kids hiding the contractor's tools, her learning a new language, playing tennis, and all things that are not design.
I agree, Cindy. Did you see her "mugging" for her passport photo? I really don't like all the new antics on her show. I like to see the designing/decorating ideas.

What makes it worse for me is that she does NOT have camera presence. All her antics are stiff and rehearsed. Sarah is a natural. Candice tries too hard.
I just don't get it. If it isn't broken don't fix it. The early episodes were so great with Chico and "hunky" (Candice's description) contractor. We saw her selection process and she actually seemed to take the customer's preferences into account. Not every room looked like the last. There were still silly things that I thought were funny because they didn't go overboard. Then, they changed the co-workers and now she has her own "Tommy", as in Sarah and Tommy.
HGTV is still one of my go to channels, but I don't understand why they don't listen to the viewers.
cindy, I never liked Candice's attempts at humor. Her near-salivating over the men who work for her was always distasteful to me. Her affection for Chico, however, seemed genuine. I'm not sure that I agree with you about her designs being all different. I think I could look at a series of photographs and pick out the Candice products easily. I'd look for chandeliers and wall-mounted gas fireplaces. I could say something similar about Sarah. I'd look for gray color palettes and marble countertops in the kitchen, and stylized floral fabrics in the upholtery and drapes of other rooms. Somewhere along the line, Candice's taste palled on me. I no longer care for her designs--except for her kitchens. The reverse happened with Sarah. Her early Design Inc. efforts did not appeal to me. Once she seemed to gravitate toward bolder fabrics and colors, I started liking her better.
We are very unhappy with the new "marathon" format of both Candace and Sarah Richardson. We also find the lack of advertising for these two shows to be of questionable intention, when shows like Love It or List It are shoved down your throat several times in one hour.
Where is the loyalty to the designers who helped put HGTV on the map?
