I need Candice or a Candice work-a-like for my complete renovation of my late 70's house in Jacksonville, Florida.

The master bath is complete and is a dream come true, but we were over our budget and would like to have better idea of when and how that happens!

The kitchen needs to be opened into the living area and we are trying to eliminate the peninsula and replace with an island. We are eliminating soffits and flourescent lighting boxes and replacing with recessed lighting. We have some issues about rerouting the air conditioning duct work and needs some expert input. We have not heard good things about refacing, but are open to other solutions. Refinishing cabinets would be an option, as we have nice maple cabinets that just show the wear of 4 kids and 2 adults for 20 years. but new cabinets are not out of the question.

We need new flooring upstairs and down( leaning toward hardwood) and also are interested in ideas to update the large brick surround fireplace.

We have a wonderful contractor, but just need someone to come up with design solutions.

Thanks to anyone who knows a good Candice like designer in this area.

Thanks, atwomh (the the way over my head!)

Ypu might try Decorating Den...they are nation wide, you could go to a high end store like Robb and Stuckey...they are in Florida I think and interview a designer. Also Florida magazine might have a board listed in their credits that could direct you to a designer. Also any university with a design dept. might be able to direct you to a designer....finally the yellow pages has a directory and you could interview these people and find some help...lastly model homes have stagers that might know of a design group for you. Good luck and what fun....Susan
