I need help my house is white with dark blue shutters and right now my door is the same shade as my shutters I want to change it to make it stand out but I do not want red. Can someone help

Mimi, IMHO color trends have recently moved away from red, WRT front doors. Thinking of selling? A realtor and/or stager might give you some suggestions for what's popular in your area. Another option might be to check out door colors in local new home developments, i.e. model homes.

This year, green appears to be one of the main trend colors. Personally, I would use paint chips from your existing color to select an appropriate front door color. BTW, materials from the major paint brands (e.g. Behr, SW, etc.) also illustrate current front door colors.

If you'd like more opinions, I'd also suggest posting on the Decorating Board, below - under the Colors thread. It might also help to include a photo with your next post.
