After tons of showings, multiple second showings, and four offers - we finally have a written contract! Now we just to make it through the option period and have a good inspection.

It's been a process for sure, full of ups and downs. It will all be worth it once we are in our lovely new home!

Thanks, I hope so too! I don't *think* we'll have a problem with the appraisal, there was a much smaller one story on our street that sold for over $5k more than we are settling for. Only time will tell! Smile

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! All appendages are crossed as you get through those next few steps. It's amazing how stressful these steps are! Eventhough you know your house is in good shape, we lost sleep worrying about stupid things that could go wrong - DON'T DO THAT! Smile

More congrats to you!!!!! and yes, do not lose sleep. People say that the inspectors 'have' to find something no matter how 'dumb', so just be prepared for a silly little nothing. We were written up for LINT IN THE DRYER TRAP!!!!

laughing about it now!!!!!!!!! Big Grin

Hfawn - Congratulations! I am sure you will be on pins and needles from now until closing.

If it was just a comment in passing - not a problem - he was just writing what he saw. As long as he didn't write the dryer up as deficient.

I know it's been a while so I thought I would update. The original buyer ended up backing out, he couldn't get his financing on track to be ready to close when we needed him to. We ended up switching realtors, which left us with almost a month of being off the market while trying to get our previous realtor to release us.

Our new realtor has been fantastic, we had a ton of showings and three offers in a month! We wound up going with the third one as it was cash and had a quick closing. If all goes well, we will have the keys in hand for our new home this afternoon - as soon as we get our HUD-1 statement from the sale of our home which will be completed today. It's been a frustrating road to get here, but so glad we will finally be able to breathe a giant sigh of relief and be able to move on to the next phase in our life!
