I am in favor of sellers creating other areas for kids at their property to show their home is indeed kid friendly...when the front yard/drive takes a slope.
Its the buyers first thought if they have small children While you are trying to appeal you home to all..if you have a front yard such as this or even a busier street.. it would be a good idea to display a toy or two in a club basement or rear yard. A hanging swing from a tree in a rear yard. A small trike on a rear concrete slab..etc. Food for thought. |

I don't have young children at home anymore and I still wouldn't buy a home with a steep sloping driveway, even here in the south. My old knees don't do well with slopes and walking to the mail box would be a chore for me.

If you go to your doctor and get a note for the P.O...you can have your mailbox moved up to the door.

Or I could not buy a home with a sloping or steep driveway and enjoy my walk to get the mail every day!!! I opt for a flat driveway so that I can enjoy my quality of life for a bit longer.

Kids or not I don't care for steep sloping driveways either.

LOL! All of you would LOVE my driveway! It's a dirt/gravel winding road from the main road down to our house about a quarter of a mile long with parts of it having an 11% grade!
DH has to grade it at least once a month, more often when it rains. And both the mailbox and newspaper box are at the top of it on the main road. Before we bought, I made DH promise that he would hike up every morning to get the newspaper and he has.... Why in the world would we buy this place (I can hear all of you asking)?! Well, we have 8 1/2 acres with the house located in the middle of the property overlooking the Snake River with a 280* view of the valley below and mountains beyond the valley. We can see 20-30 miles on a clear day and last Friday on the Fourth, we sat outside and watched fireworks from five different towns as if it was a show just for us. With a locked gate at the top of the driveway, we have complete privacy AND peace and quiet. PS. When we tell everyone that we live in a "gated community," they have no idea what we really mean.
