Now that we have this great new contest going, (while we all wait to see if we will win the Green Home) just curious what you all would buy with $15,000 from Sears or $10,000 from Kohler? Roll Eyes

I have not completely decided, but I would for sure get a washer and dryer like the one in the Green Home.
I would update all of my faucets with the beautiful Kohler fixtures--get new sinks--I love the kitchen sink in the Green Home.

I looked at the Kohler website. Loved the decorated sinks! I need to redo my kitchen, but would need the cabinets and countertops, too. I think I would prefer to win the Sears card, as they would have more choices for me.

Kohler makes great LP and natural gas-powered high KWH electrical power back-up units.
If natural gas isn't available in your area, one LP tank could supply a fireplace-in-home, the electrical power back-up, and, an outdoor barbeque. Oh, yeah. Smile

I will probably sound dumb, but what is LP? I love the idea of a power back up unit. Last year we had a huge wind storm in Seattle and we were without electricity for 48hours--and the temps were freezing! Some people in our area were without electricity for over a week. It was not fun!

I already spent my money at sears..
I bought a kenmore elite induction cooktop a year ago. Faster and more energy efficient than anything else. I could use a new fridge and washer dryer. Definitely a jetted tub for the bathroom.

I have already taken a loook at the washer and dryer at Sears like the one in the Dreamhome and that would be my vote.

I think I'd get a generator as well. However, the outside kid toys look great too. There's this huge pirate ship toy that has a little pool too.

    Kohler fixtures are great!

We replaced one of our toilets with a Kohler - It is a low-water use toilet that still really flushes the first time.

I have a Kohler kitchen sink faucet - also great, much better than some other brands I have had.

With a win, though, the think I would splurge on would be one of their air-jetted whirlpools tubs. :-)

Sounds dull but Id buy a new fridge which I have to do soon anyways and a freezer for my garage and instead a push mower I would get a tractor mower.Yeah I know its not a green thing to do but with my bad back I feel its justified.

I am an apartment dweller so if I should win the Kohler's prize, I'm not sure what I would do with it. If I should win the Sears prize, I would redecorate my home and save some cards for Chris tmas presents, lots of presents! Big Grin

I would purchase a tankless water heater first, a new fridge second and then the rest for the goodies I have always wanted but never really needed!!! Big Grin

We have had a Kohler whole house LP generator for several years - and like it very much.

Well I already have both gift cards mentally spent, lol.. At Sears I would buy new appliances and TVs, maybe a swingset for my little one. And at Kohler I'd have to redo my bathroom, starting with the shower and install some DTV controlled water tiles, a cool soaker tub, and a beautiful new vanity!!

It would be great to be able to redo a kitchen, but since I like my kitchen the way it is, I wish Sears had more eco-friendly products for other rooms of the house: not just appliances. You have to do a lot of digging to find anything: no organic sheets, no soy candles. I'm a little disappointed by that.
