As dreamn08 said, the flooring is by Shawn. They used engineered wood (walnut) in the first floor of the GH, as originally posted by adele in her FAQ.

whatever mtl used was not impressive,,, the area rugs're recycled & don't add to the attractiveness of the home's verall design imo.

Recycled rugs is part of the whole green theme.

i'm not ready for 'em, then,,, hook'd rugs maded from recycl'd cloth's much better imho,,, those rugs're still oil - recycl'd or not,,, had the designer a better eye or historical sense, she might've chosen them instead,,, jmho

ilove recycled hooked rugs. during the depression after every child had worn a hand me down piece of clothing then if the mom or grandma didn't use them (the material)in quilts she would make hooked rugs. i love the new hgtv green house.=)

I was wishing the are rugs would have been wool. It is natural, long wearing, stays cleaner, and the wool fibers absorb airborne pollutants and can actually help clean the air in our homes! Plus, when they do wear out and are put in landfills eventually they are 100% biodegradable. Now that is "green"
They are expensive, but seems a worthwhile investment, especially for those that suffer with allergies.

have noticed something in 5m of marriage,,, 5'2" brides like mirrors & pictures on the wall so only THEY can see 'em forgetting most of the world's 6'0",,, she also does't appreciate the inherent difficulty trying to fill 4g bkts w/5g of wtr, too !

she can, however, balance a checkbook,,, oy vey, the adventure continues Big Grin

    LOL...As a 5'2 gal....married to a tall guy...

NOTE to Architects and Designers: put mirrors on a track. Slide up and down for height adjustments.

OR...Y,IC, There ARE mirrors that are on stands that can be purchased. Right now, I have a regular wall mirror on the floor. At times, I might be sweet enough to lift it and set it on the chair in the room. Hey...are you doing your honeydo lists? Makes a BIG difference! LOL

The more I hear bout' your wife, the more I like her. She must have spunk!

Welcome to the wonderful world of domesticity, Conc.
My artist wife says, pictures are hung at average person's height eye level. All the stuff I hung was moved down.
