Do you think HGTV will be "watching" the finalist to come up with a way to surprise them?

What will you do for the next 10 days to be ready? Big Grin

That is an important question. Guess I better keep the make-up fresh and make sure I am not cleaning my oven in my old raggedy clothes! The ideal would be for them to catch the finalist recycling or some other green activity!
Guess we better all keep on our toes---
Enjoy the last full day before the contest ends!

Hey, keeping raggedy clothes and then eventually using them to clean is green! And of course, what are you cleaning your oven wih?

I think as embarrassed as a winner may be by - like me - a house with toys and books strewn all over ( I pick up at naptime and bedtime - other wise he sees what I'm doing and 'helps' by emptying his chests) or wearing raggedy clothes because you're cleaning will be outweighed by winning!

I wonder who the finalist are and how they found out?

Maybe HGTV will try to draw out the anticipation for them by waiting until the evening. I wonder if we'll find out or if they will sign a document or something to keep quiet until the final drawing.

When they had the 3 semi-finalists the one time for the DH, we knew who they were in advance of the final selection. I think their videos are still up at DH Central, showing how each one was individually surprised and notified.

I know I'll be a little extra careful to be presentable but will not be going crazy about it. I just don't want to get caught in my pj's..lol! That would bother me. But if I am going about my normal routine, cooking and cleaning, that's okay with me because it's real. I am not a fan of the "set up" surprise. I like it when it is real and authentic. I think it would be great if they 'caught" you cleaning the oven or toys all over the floor. Then the surprise would be authentic. Wink

Amyart, Just so you know, I skipped the self clean, and did my cleaning with vinegar and water (and a little steel wool) Tried to be very green, and it looks great!
Good point dismusbdaplace--I agree with your thoughts on the surprise being authentic--but I looked pretty wretched after my oven cleaning--I'd at least like to have showered--especially if it will be in the archives for years for all to see!
Can't wait to see one of us on that ambush day!
