Don't know if a discussion like this has already been started or not but I always enjoy reading people answers.

What three things are your favorite about the GH08?

And

What are three things that you would change about GH08?

My three favorites are 1. The floorplan. 2. All the green features in the home. 3. The porches and patios.

Three things I would change are 1. No tv's in the bedrooms 2. A built in bookcases/wall office area in the dining room (where the baker's case is) 3. The master bathroom vanity.

so, anyone else?

I really like the floor plan, green features and porches, too. Would also like built-ins in the dining area and that master vanity would have to go. The only bedroom that doesn't have a TV is the yellow guest room.

Ohhhhhh Mannnnnnn! When you cover the floor plan, green features, and porches; what's left?

Even though I think the bunk beds ARE cute...not practical for our family at this time. And yes....the tv s in the bedrooms would have to go. And...an additional shoe trundle (white) on the back porch would be a must. hint hint hint. That's for the BACK porch of the GH. Personally...we need the black one in our home. Smile It's too late to ask for a scaredy cat closet. I think it is necessary in certain parts of the U.S.

Too cute kdoodle. I am a book lover and would gladly exchange so many tv's for more book shelves. Wink

Trish, great idea about a shoe cubby by the patios/screened in porch. I'll take one of those too. Big Grin

Great question.
Best things...
#1 Location - I would pack up my family and move there in a heart beat.
#2 Laundry Room - I wouldn't have to do laundry in my garage anymore
#3 Pantry - I've always wanted one, plus I'm really hungry right now.

I've been trying to think of something I would change, but am having a difficult time - I love this house....can't wait to move in!! Wink

Fun question--and I have not seen it yet...
*I love the whole "great room"
*Screened porch and verandas
*Laundry room and pantry--so decadent! (At least compared to what I am used to)

Change:
*I would like and office/bookshelf, but also love the baker cabinet-tough choice!
*Kids room is darling, but I would make it more of an adult guest room-since I will have the yellow room, giving my mom (who uses a walker) the master.
*Not sure if it is green, but I would want a microwave??

I have to admit, I love the TV's in the bedrooms--bad I know. Gotta watch my HGTV--I will read regularly on my screened porch however!

I can't believe tomorrow is the last day to enter to win! Hope we keep this forum going for awhile--GGGGGGooooooddddd Luck everyone! Cool

Does it have solar panels?
I would change.........
1. I would make it larger.
2. I would make the floors out of recycled processed wood. ( Processed wood looks better and it is recycled!)
3. I would use recycled stainless steel and one star appliances.(The recycled steel looks the same as stainless + one star products are energy savers!)

I like.....
1. The colors and themes of each of the rooms. Modern with an old timy touch. The colors are light and dark blues + vaige and some neutrel colors.
2. The furniture is cherrywood. It is dark and goes along with beach theme.
3. I love the model of the house that was made for the dog. I would not have used panels for the house. They dont last as long as sealed wood!

My absolute favourite thing is how its giving the gift of awareness and education to so many people. Letting everyone know not only the importance of a green home, for our own health and well being, and that of the planet as well -but that it can be done with style.

I adore the little nook in the kid's room.

I love the storage. There could be more - but there is soooooooooo much more then our place. We have a quirky house in New Mexico and the buiders didn't believe in closed closets. We went from plenty of closets and storage on base to - open closets with no real place to hang stuff. And we had so many closets before we actually had hanging drawers and organizers - which we can't use here - so we have about 10 plastic containers - full of papers, clothes and baby toys!

Its hard to choose but that's about it. I love the TV's in the bedroom. Bedrooms are retreats to watch movies and read novels. Living rooms are for families getting together I think. To each their own though. Being different is what makes the world go round and what makes it so interesting.

I love the separate sitting area with tv too. So if one of us is playing with the baby in one area, the other can be watching tv or hanging out, but still be connected. I like that.

Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying.
