That the pictures on the entry page are NOT of the green home? "Take a tour of the home" shows a picture of a living room with fire place, "Watch the hgtv gh special" shows *drool drool* Carter *drool drool drool*, and "see who wins" shows another living room w/ fireplace. The first time I noticed that I thought maybe I'd missed those rooms in my many online tours somehow, lol. Anyone know what those pics are from?

I haven't posted here since the giveaway started for fear of the MB curse but I have a good feeling anyway, lol. I hate to come post and complain but am I the only one extremely annoyed by the fact that the bunkbed *special HANDCRAFTED bunkbed at that* has no side safety rails on the upper bunk?? Eek

Hi, Angiemama. Those pictures were up before the inside of the GH was revealed. They've just never changed them.

I think there is a ladder in the closet to get to the top bunk bed, so maybe there is a safety rail, as well. I hadn't even thought of that.

They have always had a ladder for bunks in the other rooms with bunks, surely they have planned for that also.

I hope so. I do love that HGTV often has things special made, like this bunk and the bunk in the 07 DH and so many other items but when it comes to something like bunk beds I think it might be safer to just go with a trusted brand name furniture. Since I just bought a bunk bed for my 2 sons I'm all about the safety features. Wink Bunk Bed Safety

Okay, Quinones, so let's say you win this amazing home - get an over $700,000 home for much less then you would had you bought it on your own (most people would sell, not being able to afford taxes and use the proceeds to buy a home - and furniture - hopefully green - of their choosing) you would MAKE THEM change the beds? After all the time and money and effort that went into the home you would complain about the bed? Did you notice there are two bedrooms BESIDES the master suite, to do with as you please?

And I'm sure you'd want to move some of your own things in - don't your kids currently have beds?

How much does the gender of a child matter at that age, unless an adult has messed with their minds - which I'm sure isn't the case.

If your family wins - will you be worrying about a bed? Really and truly? I hope someone wins who isn't worried about a bed after winning a $700,000 Greenhome and a really nice vehicle. Not to mention furnishing and appliances that usually aren't included when buying a home on their own. Someone so grateful for this prize it wouldn't cross their mind to complain about it.

Good luck and happy dreaming!

Welcome, Quinones. I sent you a PM. Please have a great time here on MB.
Tell your kiddos this old guy personally wants a Wallace(-and-Gromit) bed with push-buttons that order up breakfast, (that's crackin' good toast, btw) a full suit and boots all in one "fell swoop", and a dog with a razor-sharp mind. I bet they both would like those beds for themselves!...But especially that dog. Big Grin

Welcome from me too Quinones. You did say lol at the end you were probably not being serious - sorry.

I think there were so many people who came out of the woodwork and complained about the dream home contest and the winner that I automatically thought you were one of the negative nellies!

Good luck!

I also have a son age 3 and a daughter age 2. My daughter would LOVE the daulphin bed!!!! If anything, you can buy a bed rail at a reasonable price. Well that is what I would do anyway if/when I win Smile

Good Luck to all!!!
