I watched the extreme living show on earthships in Taos. The designer had only 2 solar panels on her roof.She said people think they need to cover their roof with solar panels to have enough power. My question is how she can run a house off grid with only 2 panels. I would really love to know that.

If I were building a home, it would be possible to include many of these features. What kind of back up do they have for months with no rain?
