My shutters & trim, which were originally ivory on a taupe house, started to fade to almost white.
So I perused some ivories and yellows and finally came up with 2 I thought would look right -- BM Oklahoma Wheat or Wheatfield, because of the slightly orangish hue.
So I had my painter buy a qt. of each to test which one I would finally end up using and, woe is me, they were not at all the right shade!
I finally found a swatch of BM Soleil which looked absolutely perfect so I told him to buy it and do the job.

After he had done one shutter, I shuddered! ('scuse the pun!)
I really got sick thinking that I had just purchased almost the same color as the shutters were before and of all the money which was going to waste.

Several minutes later, I went outside and told him to take those 2 qts. and dump them into the mix. He looked at me as if I was crazy.
I said, "just do it!!"
Can I tell you, I am in love with my Wheatfield/Oklahoma Wheat/Soleil shutters.
They turned out exactly like what I had in mind.
I am now a happy camper!

Too funny about the accidental color being just right. Glad you are happy!

Just had a color match at SW today that missed the original swatch. But...the accidental color is perfect too.

New trim and shutter colors here too.
