I need help with choosing a paint colour for my front porch - window frames and front door.
I think the white is too stark and the brown front door is terrible. I want to do a beige or gray but cannot decide. Also there are the three stripes above the window which I don't know what to do with. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!! I wouldn't do gray. I think it looks fine white, but a nice creamy color would be great. Have you seen the color Lancaster Whitewash by BM?

I agree a warm white would look nice and less stark. I am in love with the blue-gray of European doors and shutters. Benjamin Moore HC-148 Jamestown Blue is a pretty one I recently saw on a door in I think House Beautiful. I see there is a ready mixed exterior paint Hamilton Blue, too.
Then there are warm reds like Country Redwood and Cottage Red (BM exterior Ready mixed) that might look nice with the brick, too You can have fun with the door color because it is not such a big commitment if you decide to change it. Look at the Historical collections, like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams for ideas and color combinations. This message has been edited. Last edited by: zheni, |
