I have a set of Blue Willow dinnerware and would like suggestions on how to incorporate them into my kitchen which has oak cabinets and dark green granite countertops. I currently have wallpaper up and hope to paint the walls a creamy warm butter. I just don't know how to go about making the dinnerware fit into this scheme. I really want to keep the dinnerware because it's an heirloom.

I'm not one who jumps on the everything should match and coordinate band wagon. Pulling colors from inspiration pieces is so not what I prefer to do. So here's another perspective. Don't worry about the dinnerware incorporating. A pallette of green granite, oak cabs, butter walls and Blue Willow dinnerware sounds like it already has legs and once put together I'm guessing it would look rather spectacular. Once the wallpaper is gone, it might be easier to see it all working together. I'd go with what you've got first and see how it looks.

Blue Willow is classically shown with yellow a lot anyway. Wouldn't worry about the countertops...Test those yellows before you paint. It's a tricky color...
