Please help me pick out a paint color to coordinate with this Micholopoulos print for my bedroom without making it look too dark and drab. Not sure which direction to go with this.

Certainly you could pick up the sunshine yellow if you like that color.
Almost any color in a lighter tone that appeals to you would work.

I agree that a lighter value from any color present in the print is fine, but factor in these things:

LIGHTING INCLUDING NATURAL LIGHT EXPOSURE
FLOORING
FURNITURE COLORATION
THE FEEL YOU SEEK

TIPS: Match chips to the primary colors in the art to ensure you are in the same family of colors. Lean toward the lighter hue values particularly if considering a yellow which tends to intensify on walls. Consider buying sample sizes of paint, once you've narrowed your options down to 2 or 3, and painting a test board to view over several days and nights.

It's a popular belief that art should stand on it's own vs matching it to your room scheme. Others feel it's a great springboard in establishing a room's scheme tho not every color should be repeated nor the actual hue value be echoed. Consider neutral walls too especially if featuring more art. Greens are considered neutrals. A black and white, taupe and white, or gray and white scheme can make your art stand as a prominent element in your space. One accent color pulled from the art can draw the eye around the room.
