Given the added details about the turquoise bed and white headboard, if you'd like to try a little more color, have you considered a light turquoise on 3 walls plus a darker turquoise as an accent behind the white headboard?
What's the floor covering? Hardwood or carpet? Colors? Rug with accent colors you might want to pull out or complement on the walls? How about drapery or other fabrics with accent colors? Accessories?
If you can attach a few photos of the room, I'm sure you'll receive many detailed responses.
You can consider one of two options... a monochromatic scheme using the turquoise and white for the walls via a broad stripe, damask or other graphic print using panint or paper OR introduce an accent color as pulled from a fabric or rug. Often the accents teamed with turquoise are lime green, black/white, gray to name a few. A neutral background such as a taupe, tan or brown can also be considered for the walls, but keep contrast in mind as well. If you go this latter route, be sure to echo the turquoise elsewhere and in textures and prints around the room and onto the bed. Often, a scheme is established from a print..a rug, a pillow, an upholstered chair, a painting. This takes the guess work out of establishing a scheme and unites the space.

Pale gray walls would provide a soft background for aqua/turquoise. And, because gray is so versatile, you can easily change the colors of your bedding and window treatments when/or if you get tired of aqua.

Here's an interesting color scheme that pairs turquoise/aqua with an array of browns and grays. You could choose any one of these colors for the walls and accents.
