Darya,

Unless you're considering shades/tones I'm not familiar with, either wheat or sand sound very neutral and suitable for all the walls, even in a small room. Any particular reason you only wanted to do one wall?

When I think of relaxing for a bedroom, I think of sand or blues/seafoam greens, i.e. beachy colors. Another alternative might be 3 walls sand plus 1 focal wall in a more vivid color - say bluegreen or ocean-ie blue, if that makes sense!

What works with your bedding and other accents? That'd be another way to do it.

If you send a photo or two, I'm sure you'll receive tons of suggestions.

Good Luck!

I have to laugh thinking about the Edward Albee play with the characters quarreling..."Well, my dear, I know wheat from beige..." I only wish I could find the perfect yellow for my bedroom!!!!

I think your idea of sand with the other white walls sounds just fine. It certainly does have a calming influence.
Perhaps you might incorporate some seashells, etc. and an occasional pop of sea glass in seafoam green.

Darya,

Your plan will definitely work fine, if that's your preference. The only opinion that matters is yours, BTW.

Can't speak for everyone on the boards but if I had to guess, I might believe that some of the posters here wouldn't select much beige or white unless they were preparing to sell their home. So, the reason I suggested you try just a little more color was to give you a nudge out of your comfort zone.

JMHO.

Good Luck!
