I need help with finding a color for my guestroom. Not much natural light, the style/bedding is rather dramatic - red, charcoal gray and white.
Can anyone help?
Pick a color from your bedding.
Either a pale red or if you don't want that much color choose a grey with charcoal tones to it.
(no beige -- PLEASE!)
Don't worry about lack of light. It's the way you use light that counts.
Here's a sample of a red:
Possible light charcoal:

Oh c'mon Arepo, what's wrong with beige??
Kidding aside, without seeing the bedding, I'd go with gray.
Hi "One W":
Actually, I really like beige but not with black, red and white thank you!
I'm going to go out on a limb. What about white? I am seeing more and more white walls in shelter magazines. Without seeing your bedding I would suggest white or a pale gray.
After picturing it, I actually like Aredatore's suggestions better than my own.
nyssandra, it'd be helpful to see photos of the room, including the bedding.
W/o seeing them, I would vote for a cool tone of light grey. Guest bedrooms s/b relaxing.
ETA: WRT the white option, it sounds too stark for me, considering the bold bedding (again, w/o seeing it). Don't know what your style is - that works, if you prefer contemporary.
Good Luck! This message has been edited. Last edited by: AguaBella,
