OK, I'm new hear and manily cuz my wife and I love this channel and thought it may be a good place to come for some advice.

We are getting our house ready to sell and we have a color dilema...

This is a picture of our house

    http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f305/Fubeca/DSC05868.jpg

And as you can see we have a green roof and green door and green trim and green shutters...the roof is aluminum with a 100 year warranty and so not much we can do with it, but we were thinking about painting the door, trim and shutters, but we have no idea what color that would go with the green roof and white siding, any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Shutters in Sherwin William's Black Bean. Could do the door the same or you could try a green that is much lighter than the roof like a sea green.

I'd paint the posts and trim around the garage door white to match the body of the house.

Your home if very lovely. I dont' have a color recommendation for you but I did look at the picture and if it is in the budget you might want to think about getting some new light fixtures. The white ones that you have there now just blend into the house. Also, again depending on the **$ take a look at beefing up your posts to columns.

I'd paint the porch posts white as well as doing the shutters, garage door and front door a new color. Below are links to pictures of your house where I changed out the shutters and door colors. This was done fast and is not clean and neat by any means I'm too lazy to be clean and neat today but it gives you an idea of what you can do with the house.

Voting for the last pic which is very much what funcolors suggested with Black Bean. I would have thrown dark red in there too -- Like SW's Rookwood Red.

I like the last picture from Beantown, I think the black shutters anchor the house. I like Colorphobics idea about a new light fixture. And either painting the posts white to make them disappear or beefing them up to columns. And I love Casey's idea about getting some red in somewhere, maybe the front door. Good luck with your sale.
