White paint for trim?
Is there a white paint color that matches with most wall colors? I'd like to have all the trim in the house the same color. I don't want blinding white, but I want to be able to tell it's white and not a cream, if that makes sense. TIA

Benjamin Moore White Dove is one the highest selling premixed whites in the country. I don't know if that makes it right for you, but its universal appeal may be in the numbers.

Agree, the BM-wd is frequently selected for moldings and trim. It has a little grey plus a little yellow. The yellow helps it play well with other colors.

JMHO.

P.S. If you prefer to purchase another brand instead of BM, basically any paint store and/or paint counter s/b able to easily match it. You might not even need to take in a chip - I would call first, naturally. Again, JMHO.

Good Luck!

Thanks again Charles D & astroluvr. I read on these boards about White Dove, but couldn't remember the name.

Any time, MB - any time. Thanks so much for posting back.

Have fun with all that brushwork! It takes time but pays off tremendously.

Take care -

Has anyone used Swiss Coffee by Behr for their trim? And should the trim be all the same color in the house?

Lea, it is not necessary to maintain the same color trim throughout your house IF the rooms are divided by doors or floors. It is an advantage tho because you won't have to worry about what you've used in each space. My current home isn't an open concept floor plan and is a two story house. The rooms upstairs all have trim and doors painted in BM's China White. Downstairs, some trimwork and doors are stained where others have the same trim color as upstairs.
