I have a bedrrom with white walls and white carpeting. I also have some sage green bedroom furniture. I do not want to paint the furniture, but would love ideas for wall and carpet colors that would compliment the green furniture.

Neutral flooring is the most practical option due to it's cost and versatility. A light beige is a safe companion. A printed area rug can always be added if you desire.

Re. wall color, you can do a number of things factoring in your lighting and the feel you seek. One is to paint the walls a noticeably darker value than the furniture once matched to chips viewed in the room's lighting. The value should be dark for contrast to your furnishings. BTW, dark walls will create a cozy feel. Team the w/ an off white trim and paint the ceiling in a hint of the sage for more pop. Accent colors and prints can always be introduced for more interest, but do scatter them around the room if you like this idea.

Another is to paint the walls in off white and sage stripes (the wider the stripe the more dramatic the look). This would create pattern interest and keep the room in a soothing monochromatic scheme.

It's always a good idea to draw scheme inspiration from a new or existing fabric such as a new comforter, area rug or window treatment. The print should feature a bit of the sage in your furniture and accents you love.

I too adore sage. I would probably consider an aubergine/purple statement wall behind my bed and a pale, inobtrusive sage on the other walls.

I would keep the white carpet (if in good shape) and change that drape to the aubergine/purple.
I would pick up those colors in accessories and throw pillows.

I really like arepo's color scheme... my kind of colors!! But I would keep the drapes sage so all the focus is on the statement wall/headboard.

So many wonderful colors... so little time and space.

Ok metwo(luv that name). I'll go with you on the sage drapes.
The aubergine/purple can be picked up in other ways.
