I have a black bed frame, black furniture, cherry wood floors, and greyish-taupe/black/silver bedding. I would like a dark wall or a deep & rich color. Any idea? Thanks

Absolutely! I LOVE the colors of your room. They remind me of my own MBR.
Aubergine will make a perfect color for your headboard statement wall.
Either that, or keep it more monochromatic with a fairly deep charcoal grey wall.

With the dark furniture and flooring just be careful of the hue value you use on the walls. There should be a degree of contrast. Beef up lighting in this space too. Add reflective surfaces like mirror, glass, metals, ceramics.

I totally agree with Frou's statements. You cannot possibly do all of the walls in a dark hue -- only the headboard wall. She makes excellent points.
