I have never used SW paint but a new SW store opened up by us and I think I want to do my master bedroom in "Tradwind". So, how is the SW paint? Does it compare to BenM? Is there any comparable line to Aura?
Thanks, Joan |

SW's SuperPaint is great...I also love the Durations paint which is meant to be very scrubbable. Great for kitchens and baths. And finally, if you have a low-traffic area, their Cashmere paint gives a velvety soft look to the wall. I have it in my bedroom in the matte finish and love it. But it's not for a place where the walls get dirty. Nothing they have is comparable to the Aura paint which is top-of-the-line and heads and shoulders above everybody else. If you want to use Aura, I'd talk to your BenM paint store guy and see if they have the SW colors in the computer. A very similar color to Tradewind is BenM's Harbor Haze 2136-60.
As I understand, SW's vinyl latex is not QUITE up to BenM's acrylic latex but it's still pretty-darn-good. My own house is mostly painted in SW. |
