BM peacock blue for walls with greyish/silver and white bedding? Do you think peacock blue is too bold? Any other suggestions for a nice bluish/green from BM?This message has been edited. Last edited by: gelato,

Yes, I agree that it is way too bold. Maybe as a statement wall if you wanted to go that way, but never on all four walls. In the same color spectrum that you are interested in here are two more possibilities: BM Fort Pierce Green and the one I like best of this color lot: BM Atmospheric But you might still want to consider doing a silvery grey wall on 3 and just one wall as a statement. This message has been edited. okay, thank you for your suggestions. I am enclosing a photo of the bedding. I will use the "turquoise" for accents.
Would your paint suggestions go with turquoise accents? I am looking for a bluish color to paint the walls as I think gray walls wouldn't work because the room is not very bright and I don't want it to look "dull" and there's already so much gray with the bedding and curtains.
The lamps are a silvery gray and curtains are gray also. Furniture is mahoganyThis message has been edited. Last edited by: gelato,

I'm attaching a shot of my spare room which is painted Buxton Blue. The screen I am using behind the bed has an aqua sky. Maybe you can get an idea of how it looks. I find that the actual color is more "greeny" in the flesh than on the screen.
Have you tried the Peacock Blue as a sample IRL? It's a pretty color and not as loud as it shows in the mock-up. If you're concerned that it is too loud, have a look at 2051-40, Majestic Blue. It's very similar but toned down a hair. I think the Teal Ocean (the color below Peacock Blue on the same strip) is nice as well although quite a bit darker. 2051-30 Casco Bay is also nice and toned down a little from Teal Ocean. Depends on if you want to go darker. Darker rooms can be spectacular with color here and sparkle there. And I think your grays will shine instead of seeming gloomy.
It's a thought. This message has been edited. Last edited by: *~Bella~*,

Don't hate me -- you asked for opinions. Mine means nothing in the realm of things anyway but honey, I just detest that Peacock Blue. It would hurt my eyes to sleep in that room. (running for cover)

no problem, everyone is entitled to an opinion. It's been a while since I posted and I still haven't made a decision, LOL I am now thinking of tropicana cabana by Ben Moore, it's lighter but i'm not sure if it's "too bright" what do you guys think?

Personally, I wouldn't be able to handle the peacock, either. I prefer the Buxton (nice room, sms) but everything's reading very dark, to me. Don't know if it's just the photos.
For that reason, I would prefer a lighter color on at least 3 walls. Have you thought about doing an accent wall behind the bed? WRT the 3 walls, I have a feeling you could find a grey in your BM paint chips that doesn't appear dull.
Between the lampshades and bedding (bedding feels dark, too, BTW), if you did use grey for your main color, I would add in more pops of color in the accessories.
If the color really looks like that and the accessories you want to use are pretty accurate, I like the combination. To have things that aren't an exact match makes more interesting spaces, so if they co-ordinate rather than match, it looks like a nice solution.
I'd probably get a quart and give it a test run before doing the whole room. Use the whole can so you get a large area of test color. I like the darker walls rather than the light that your friend has. It is quite rich looking.

Gelato, the Buxton Blue is beautiful and I think it would look great with your bedding. Try rethinking the turquoise pillow - that might be a bit difficult to pull off. I do think you need one pillow with the Buxton Blue tones - just now the one you have. Look how crisp the black and white picture looks with it in Bella's picture.
Cosider accessories in a little bit of black, blingy crystal and mirrors, something pearly opalescent - not exactly how to say this. You crystal lamp works great.
