I think the Restoration Hardware color "Shore" will be perfect in the MB of my new home. Problem being that there is no RH near my location, and now the painter wants to start ASAP, or else I would have a sample of that color shipped and match it.
Has anyone had any luck matching that color to a more accessible paint brand?

Unfortunately, that's a new color from RH and we don't have the color matches for it. You can take your chip to Benjamin Moore and see if they have it in their computer -- or see if they or Sherwin-Williams can color match it.
Whatever you do, I have to say that the Restoration Hardware paint is of extremely poor quality. It doesn't cover well, dries so quickly it leaves stringy messes on the roller covers, and drips. Even getting a color match at Lowes in Valspar would be better than the RH paint.

Thanks for your help Casey! I had heard that about RH paint, and that is why I was hoping for a match rather than buying their paint. Unfortunately I have no chip I just saw the color on some ones wall a while back and really liked it - and that person has moved. I am beginning to think I am just not fated to have this color- LOL!

Well, I was hoping that myperfectcolor would have it so you could get order one of their little cans and use that to take to the BenM store. (Do you have a BenM store? What brand is good for you?) However, THEY don't even have it and they're usually my ace-in-the-hole for hard to match colors.
okay, I DO have the RH chips which I will try to eyeball (this is such a joke -- I'm not that good at eyeballing. funcolors is SOOOO much better at this than I am.) against my BenM and Sherwin-Williams colors...
okay, until fc comes along to rescue this plan, I THINK that Shore is pretty close to BenM's Santorini Blue CC-1634 (which is a tiny bit grayer, I think)...which would make sense cuz the RH colors are usually, ahem, "based" on BenM Classic Colors. It's also pretty close to BenM's Slate Blue CC-1648. And THOSE we can translate to other brands...ahh, another great BenM color Nantucket Fog AC-22, Sherwin-Williams Aqua-Sphere SW7613 and Behr's Blue Fox 540E-3. Those should be good to test.
That is...if my eyeballs are any good.

Oh Wow! You are a saint!!! I definitely have access to a BenM store. A close-ish match is fine for me, so I will try out your suggestions. Thanks SO much!
