Hello all I painting one last room in my home before i post all picture and the color for the bedroom will be Pale Smoke by BM and the ceiling and trim color will be White dove OC-17 also by BM .

I need to stain this desk it has so many nick and also the color is peel away so anyone have a suggestion on a stain color other than ivory or cream?

What overall look are you going for in the room? It obviously appears juvenile, currently.

The wall colors sound beautiful. How dark is the smoke? Don't know if it's possible to include paint chips - possibly by linking to them??

Personally, I would want to alter the look of the desk, i.e. change out the hardware, remove the hutch (it can be used elsewhere) and probably make the lines of the piece more contemporary.

If it were mine, I'd go for high-gloss, black lacquer. You could possibly select another color in high-gloss - that would make the room interesting.

Have you considered that?

JMHO.

You gave me something to think about this desk is a computer desk in my office . This is just a picture of the one i have, it not decorated like this

That's great, Gwen. I might suggest another option, if I saw the actual piece, within the other room. If you have time to shoot another photo -

The high gloss option (in whatever pop of color you select) would require a little work but so would staining. Would love to see a shot of your completed project, too.
