We want to paint these yellowy/cream walls a fresher color, but what would go well with the tile?

Many shadows in your photo so not sure if I'm getting a good read on the color. That said, I'm going to suggest grey.

Hopefully you have a tile sample (plus any other fabrics and/or bathroom colors) to compare to paint chips. As always, I would try out a few paint samples on the wall, in the actual space.

Another consideration would be flow with the adjoining rooms and hallways.

Indeed PC monitors frequently misread colors. Greens are neutrals however. Often a room scheme can be inspired by new or existing prints factoring adjoining spaces if part of a public space layout. This is true in the case of a master bathroom too. The print could come via things like a rug, window treatment, a shower curtain or art. Factor in these things when considering the wall color and it's value: ROOM SIZE, NATURAL AND/OR ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING, THE FEEL YOU SEEK, COLORATION OF CABINETRY, COUNTERTOP, TOILET, SINK, ETC.. Importantly, view all potential chips under the varied lighting conditions of this space. Your options are broad tho I can not envision a gray unless it's a blue gray or taupe. Personally I like families of these colors with greens...Lavenders, Plums, Pinks. Also, if this bath is small, a monochromatic scheme could visually enlarge it. You could go with the flow and match a chip to the tile opting for a lighter value for the walls. Dots of an accent color like a spice red via towels, etc. could be scattered around the room to keep things lively if desired.

Yes, Froo - I was thinking bluish grey (pulling it from the tile) and monochromatic b/c of the bathroom's size.

Didn't specify the exact shade b/c of the photo and shadows. Wanted to encourage the OP to match it by using a tile sample (plus any other colors) and verifying it in the room's light.

I'd probably go with a warm ivory toward the yellow and throw in accessories (towels etc.) in raspberry or peach.
