Where are the Holiday Specials? Sign In/Join

Although HGTV advertises 30 days of Holiday Specials, there are very few. Why?

Also, when I click on Specials in the TV section, nothing appears. I am very disappointed with HGTV during this Holiday Season.

I remember the ole days when HGTV ran all types of specials. They repeated them many times which made it easy to see them when it suited you. Room by Room, Decorating Cents, All in Good Taste, Kitty Bartholmew's show, Joe Ruggerio has one called a Natural Christmas and others I am sure I have forgotten about. Carol Duvall would have a whole weekday set of them.

Room by Room and Decorating Cents were half hour regular shows, but some of their specials were an hour long. They would even rerun previous years' specials.

I really miss all of them at this time of year.

I am running a 12 days of christmas special. I came up with 12 different specials, most are designed to entice gift certificate purchases. To protect myself, and keep me from getting "hosed" on the deals, I took verbiage from groupon's fine print and tweeked it to fit my needs. I think that typically, December is a busy month for us, so the target dates for the deals to be used is January and February. The emails are written, and are all scheduled to be emailed one every day, starting Tuesday of next week. It's the first time I have done this type of promotion, so I do not know how it will do. BUT, the cost to me is zero, so what do I really have to lose (except my time writing the emails of course!)kenya
