I am new with these and need a lil general info/help.My irises have bloomed and died off, do I cut down just the stems that the blooms were on, or do I cut down all the greens?

The green leaves will gather energy for next year's blooms, so it's best not to cut them until they yellow/brown most of the way down. For me, that takes most of the summer, so I try to disguise the leaves with taller flowering plants in front of them. It was formerly thought that it's OK to cut the leaves into fan-shaped clumps several inches above the soil line after blooming, but now it's thought that diminishes the plant's vigor for the following year. This message has been edited.
