with what I think is aphids...I mean the leaves are full!! I have used liquid sevin and then a few days later I tried insecticidal soap. Not sure it helped much....they are covered again and the leaves are falling off rapidly. Doesn't seem like the blooms are gonna continue at this rate. Haven't gotten to pick many full sized peppers yet but I hope the others will keep growing....what do you recommend??????

Aphids produce several generations before you even see they are present, so as you kill off those you do see a new generation is ready to move into place.
Sevin (Carbaryl) is a very broad spectrum poison that will kill off any predators of those Aphids as well as some of the Aphids. It is not a good thing to use.
A sharp spray of water is all that is needed to knock Aphids off any plant, although that will need to be repeated as new generations move in. You need not even use Insecticidal Soap.
Aphids prefer to feed on plants with lush green growth, ie. plants that have been fed too much nitrogen.

ladeuce, just use your hose with the nozzel on jet & spray them off. Do it every day until you don't see them any more! You may need to lift each leaf & get the back side too! I've had to do this on my spirea plants and that's a pain since their leaves are so small!
Don't use that sevin unless absolutely necessary...that is bad for all of us and the environment...a last resort.

If I do soap/water, I use lemon joy...for some reason the lemon scented ones seem to work better for me.
