Aawww Muddy. You still had some pretty stuff going. But I'm also starting to clean up some things. Pulled my last zinnia yesterday...it had quit blooming...they usually last longer, clear into Nov. but not this year.

Muddy, your yarden & plants are gorgeous. Isn't it a bit early to be cutting back stuff already...are you that close to frost?
We've been having some beautiful weather here. After just receiving 3 inches of rain, things have started blooming again. I've done some garden clean up, but not cleaning out yet.
Muddy, what gorgeous photos! I saw a hummer last Tuesday but I think that he's gone. The feeders look the same since then. I have flocks of sparrows looking for food. They can eat a whole large feeding tube filled with special sunflower seeds, etc in a day. Your new arbor looks very nice. I don't have any room otherwise I would want one too.

Gorgeous pics, Muddy, TFS! That hibiscus is stunning!
My garden is all weeded and bedded down with mulch for winter altho as more fades I'll be deadheading for awhile yet. We're having a lovely warm sunny fall and have only had a couple of light frosts.
We have flocks of Rocky Mountain Bluebirds and Goldfinches visiting the garden and fighting over the birdbath. Fun to watch how some individual birds get along and some don't - just like people I guess! Sometimes there can be 6 in the birdbath at one time and other times only one bird who seemingly won't let others in and they are lined up in the nearby trees waiting their turn. Guess they have personalities too and a 'pecking order'.

My sentiments exactly! Your flowers are gorgeous, why are you cutting them back? You use a wine glass to feed your hummers? My skwirls would break it in a heartbeat, they don't knock it over at all????
I have a health issue & want to get things done early out there this year. I only had the sugar water out there a short time & its the last of the sugar water that I had cooked up for the season.
I am sorry to hear about your health problems too. You are so smart to at least have the where-with-all to at least start cleaning your yard up early. I probably wouldn't do anything at all. That's why your landscape is "Beauteous"! Hope you are feeling better soon.
