Two weeks ago there was full crop of mangoes on our tree. I was waiting for them to ripen to perfection.

However, the critters beat me to the table. Every morning the squirrels would wake me as they ran across the roof, slid down the shutters and over to the tree.

They would always find the prettiest mango for a bite. Sometimes just one taste and on to the next one.

OK back to the treats. Even the bunnies came to eat them too some days.

One day while gardening, I snitched some goods that the squirrels dropped for me. Big Grin

What a sweet series of pictures. Sorry you didn't get any fruit, but sure enjoyed the critter feast.

if those were my mangos, i'd be out there with a sling shot. lucky you.. able to walk into your yard to pick mangos any time you want one. hope the critters leave some for you. could you dab a little oil & sprinkle cayenne pepper on the fruit? and hope it didn't penetrate the skin?

there is nothing finer than standing at the kitchen sink eating a fresh, ripe, juicy mango.. and winding up wearing it.

Thanks! There were plenty to share with the critters and a few bags to friends. Plus our neighbor has hundreds on her mango tree if we need more.

Can you say mango smoothies?

Love your pics. But you can keep the mangos! I was never introduced to tropical fruit other than citrus until well into adulthood and just never aquired a taste for it.

I'm not a mango fan, either. They taste metallic to me. I have a weird taster. Big Grin
